I'm editing my bio again here now, because the one I had before was getting a little dated. Of course now that means I have to write a new one and am once again faced by the predicament of not knowing how to sum myself up in a paragraph or less. I'm really far too long-winded for that. Basically, the gist of me is this: I spend most of my time studying and/or hanging with my sister and her awesome kids (right now I'm a half-time student working towards transferring to Portland State University & becoming either a tutor or teacher, depending on the circumstances of my health at the time; I'm also currently receiving disability for some mental/physical health problems that have been going on pretty much my whole life), getting soaked in the woods like a proper Oregonian, wasting time online, slapping my writer's block in the face with a dandy glove & challenging it to pistols at dawn, having meltdowns of ecstasy over fangirly things, torturing/regaling my flist with War & Peace-length LJ entries, reading, or watching TV. I'm a major TV junkie and won't even pretend to deny it. Occasionally, I peek my head into the social sphere of life & spend time with actual corporeal-type human beings to whom I am not related, which frequently gives rise to me toting around my camera & stalking innocent bystanders, snapping pictures like a photo-ninja.

As for my journal, it often gets used for venting things about my personal life that tend to not get fully expressed elsewhere (including talk of therapy, meds, ACA and Al-Anon, and struggles with my health), but also for random rambling about random rambly topics (including a healthy dose of verbose TV-related flail/analysis/occasional rants), just depending on my mood & the day. The most intensely private stuff is usually friends-locked, but I've been here on LJ since 2002 & tend to leave a lot of entries open as well, probably due to still not being able to get rid of that old-school "what do you mean livejournal isn't still a tiny invite-only community?"-mentality. I will always use trigger warnings where I feel it's warranted; if you feel I should've provided one and didn't, please don't hesitate to let me know. If you come by my journal and want to add me, feel free. Just please send me a comment letting me know if you do, otherwise I'll assume you're only here to follow my fic/lurk (which is completely a-ok, though I haven't written fic in quite a while -- just a heads-up) & don't actually want to bond & play cyber double-dutch and all that. I take the term "friends list" somewhat literally, for the record, so it means something to me if I add you back. There's a lot of personal stuff here, so it's a sign of trust to me if I let you in.
